Sister C & The Bad Habits – A classy, classic night of groove.
Sitting at the funky end of the blues and soul spectrum, Sister C (Claudia Tetreault-Percy) fronts a group of well-seasoned musicians (The Bad Habits) with her unique mix of gospel singer and highly experienced stage actor. Providing the platform for Sister C’s versions of classics from Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Etta James and even Steely Dan are:
Geoff Bell – Drums (James Blundell, The Sunny Cowgirls, Kate Meehan, PJ O’Brien, Paul
Greene and Phil Manning), Markus “The Dane with the Gain” Bruun – Guitar: Born into a music loving Danish family in Switzerland, and playing guitar since age 6 he has torn it up in a number of leading edge bands in Europe (Brandstifter, Mash), always somewhere between funk, blues, pop, and rock. David “Chill” Frost – Keyboards/Vocals (Blind Freddy – blues, Jealous Hand Band – 70’s disco, Midnight Express – horn based soul, Zoopagoo – funk and legendary Reggae and Dance music outfit Ragga Jump)
Paul Kindermann – Bass/Vocals (Blind Freddy, Jealous Hand disco band, Odd Couple Jazz Duo, OFC Surf Band, and Country band, Blazing Boots)
Make sure you stay well hydrated because this Sister and her groovanistas will get you dancing and singing along with their funky take of the classics.
