Israel Adesanya is back to defend his middleweight belt for an incredible sixth time. Stepping in the octagon against surprise match up, Sean Strickland. Strickland shouldn’t be underestimated coming into UFC 293, winning two straight bouts after a two-fight losing streak, the Las Vegas resident is hot off a second round TKO of Abus Magomedov. Winning seven of his past nine fights since moving up to the middleweight category, he’ll have his toughest opponent yet in Adesanya.
A two time UFC middleweight champion, Adesanya is fresh off a second round knockout of Alex Pereira at UFC 287 in April. The very man who took the belt from him in November last year, a redemption story for the ages, but he’ll have his sights firmly set on what’s in front of him.
We’ll also have a huge number of Aussie’s to keep a lookout for on the undercard. Number #6 contender, Tai Tuivasa is looking his next win against Alexander Volkov in the heavyweight category while Tyson Pedro takes on Swede Anton Turkalj in the light heavyweight division.
Plus, catch the likes of Jack Jenkins and Jamie Mullarkey as they look to record important wins earlier on in the day.
