Dean Edgecombe and the Seventh Sons first got together way back in 2000 to realise a shared desire to present the early electric Blues sounds of Chicago, Texas, Memphis and Kansas City to modern audiences. Over time, Dean introduced some of his own songs into the set, with many of these featuring on the album “Handful of Shadows” which received critical acclaim and solid radio airplay on Community Blues programs around Australia (reaching number four on the Blues radio airplay chart).
The band line-up features Dean Edgecombe on bass and vocals, Artem Grigoriev on guitar, James Hoogstad on tenor sax and harmonica and Rob West on drums and vocals. The Seventh Sons play a great mix of classic and original R&B, Blues and Roots music with a few old Rockers thrown in to keep you on your toes.
